June‘Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital’ Celebrates Graduation of First Palestinian Student in Lebanon
BEIRUT - In a significant
achievement proving the firm commitment of the “Abu-Ghazaleh One Million
Refugees Scholarship” program to empower refugees through digital learning,
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital University (TAGGDU), a member of Talal
Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD), has announced the graduation of Mr.
Mohammad Abdelkarim, the first Palestinian refugee student in Lebanon who has
officially received a Master’s degree in Business Administration in Artificial
Intelligence.
While presenting the Master’s
degree certificate, Mr. Burhan Al Ashkar, Representative of HE Dr. Talal
Abu-Ghazaleh in Lebanon, emphasized that this achievement represents a
significant milestone in the program’s journey aiming to provide high quality,
free educational opportunities to one million refugees worldwide. This came as
part of the strong humanitarian and developmental vision considering education
as the most effective solution to overcome displacement and to embrace
creativity for empowerment.
Mr. Al Ashkar further pointed
out that the graduation of the first Palestinian student under the “Abu-Ghazaleh
One Million Refugees Scholarship” program, launched by HE Dr. Talal
Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG.DG founder and chairman, to support Palestinian refugees
worldwide, is a moment of pride. “Education is a fundamental right for every
individual, and our mission is to ensure that refugees have access to that
right so they can become the builders of their future and their communities,”
he added.
He called on all Palestinians
in refugee camps to take advantage of this program and other capacity-building
initiatives focused on reconstruction in Gaza, Syria, and Lebanon, encouraging
them to continue their educational journey and acquire modern, in-demand
skills.
For his part, Student
Abdelkarim expressed his deep gratitude for the Scholarship opportunity,
stating, “I have never imagined I would reach this level of higher education
under refugee conditions. The scholarship gave me hope and completely reshaped
my future.”
It is worth mentioning that Mr. Abdelkarim
received his degree through the fully integrated digital learning system
provided by TAGGDU, a leading institution in online education offering advanced
programs in key fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Business
Administration, and Information Technology.
