MayEgypt’s Minister of Communications Honors ‘Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Professional Training’
CAIRO - Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information
Technology (MCIT) has presented an honorary shield to Talal Abu-Ghazaleh
Professional Training Group (TAGI-Train), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global
Digital (TAG.GD), in recognition of its efforts in supporting and implementing
the ‘Qodwa-Tech’ initiative.
The shield, presented by HE Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of
Communications, was received on behalf of TAG.GD by Mr. Tareq Al Khatib, TAG.GD
Cairo Office executive director.
This recognition came within the fruitful cooperation conducted
between the Ministry and TAG.GD, which included organizing free sessions and
workshops within the initiative targeting women entrepreneurs and founders of
small and medium-sized startups to digitally empower them and improve their
skills to meet the labor market needs.
The ceremony was organized by the Ministry on its auditorium at
the Smart Village to honor its partners in supporting Qodwa-Tech initiative, in
the presence of representatives of the main supporter of the initiative; the
United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Deutsche
Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the development
agency of Germany, and other institutions and organizations.
Commenting on this honoring, TAG.GD Cairo Office Training Manager,
Mr. Mohammad Aladin, has expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the
Ministry, affirming that the participation of TAG.GD in supporting the initiative
falls in line with the implementation of the directives of HE Dr. Talal
Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG.GD founder and chairman, in supporting initiatives that
empower the youth and entrepreneurs.
He pointed out that the cooperation included the provision of special
training to the participating women in the initiative, mainly on protecting
trademarks presented by experts from Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP)
– Cairo Branch.
