CAIRO – Upon an invitation of the Qodwa-Tech initiative affiliated
with the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Talal
Abu-Ghazaleh Professional Training Group (TAGI-TRAIN) in collaboration with
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP), has conducted a workshop in
Cairo on ‘Intellectual Property and Ways of Protecting Trademarks’.

The workshop was presented by Mr. Mahmoud Alaa and Ms. Heba Salman,
from AGIP Egypt office.

At the beginning of the workshop, Mr. Mohamed Alaa El-Din, from
TAG-Training, displayed an introduction video promoting TAG.Global's
activities.

In addition, he thanked the initiative’s concerned officials and Qandil
Foundation for the kind invitation and warm hospitality at their premises. He
also affirmed that Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) is always dedicated
to raising awareness in various forums and events as part of its responsibility
towards communities.

The session provided an overview of various types of intellectual
property and methods of their protection, with a special focus on trademarks,
as the main topic of the workshop. Key types of trademarks, protection
strategies, and the most famous related cases were also discussed.

The attendees had the opportunity to ask questions, which were
addressed by the speakers.

Additionally, participants were given contact information for AGIP
Cairo office for further guidance on trademark registration.
