DecemberDr. Abu-Ghazaleh and UNESCO Representative to Jordan and Head of Office Discuss Cooperation Means
AMMAN – HE Dr. Talal
Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global),
has received in his office the United Nations Educational, Scientific and
Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Representative to Jordan Ms. Noha Bawazir, to
discuss cooperation between the two sides as a step towards enhanced
collaboration between UNESCO and the private sector.
During the visit, the two
parties expressed their gratitude for promoting education and sustainable
development efforts in Jordan, and they further discussed means of future
cooperation to support educational projects.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh reiterated
his full commitment to developing education, highlighting its foundational role
in achieving sustainable development goals, saying that TAG.Global relentlessly
seeks to adopt initiatives that empower and build youth capacities and skills
to successfully compete in the labor market, especially in light of the rapid
digital transformation. This includes the establishment of TAGEPEDIA Knowledge
Platform, one of TAG.Global extensive project that combine and integrate
learning and training programs from top global universities, which are
classified in the Platform in a mechanism that enables quick and easy access to
programs.
For her part, Ms. Bawazir
stressed the importance of forging partnerships with institutions like
TAG.Global in order to support initiatives that positively and effectively
contribute to improving the quality of education and providing learning
opportunities for all. She further expressed her eagerness to expand this
partnership for its positive impact on the future of education in the Kingdom.
Moreover, the two sides discussed several future
projects that aim at promoting digital skills, supporting learners in utilizing
technology in education and enhancing coordination among institutions. They
also agreed on forming a joint committee to discuss and study these projects
and develop their work plans in a way that indicates their shared commitment to
improving education quality in Jordan.
