AprilDr. Abu-Ghazaleh and the Algerian Ambassador to Jordan Discuss Cooperation
AMMAN – HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder
and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), has received in his
office Ambassador of the People's
Democratic Republic of Algeria to Jordan, HE Mr. Abdulkarim Behha, accompanied
by the Cultural Attaché at the Algerian Embassy, Ms. Asmaa Lubayd. The meeting
was attended by Eng. Ibrahim Abu Naffa, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. Consulting
executive director, Mr. Samer Jamhour, executive director of TAG.Global New
Offices, Mr. Hussein Al Sheyab, Business Development manager, and Mr. Jawad
Obeidat, Training Consultant.
During the meeting, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh
referred to the historical standing Algeria enjoys as the ‘Country of the Million Martyrs, and the efforts made to
establish a strong modern state despite the difficulties and challenges
experienced by Algeria, among which were the French occupation and the
so-called Black Decade or the Algerian Civil War that took the lives of thousands
of Algerians in the 1990s of the last Century.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh went on to proudly
highlight the deep ties with Algeria, citing his 1995 visit to the country,
during which he was received and welcomed by the Algeria Prime Minister among
other official dignitaries.
He stated that the keenness to activate
cooperation with the Algerian official authorities through the Algerian Embassy
in Amman comes in line with TAG.Global’s mission to provide digital learning,
training and capacity-building services that effectively address high costs of
education and positively contribute to improving education quality not only to
urban areas, but also to remote areas.
For his part, Ambassador Behha stated that
the Algerian-Jordanian ties that have been historically distinctive, were
further strengthened after the visit of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al
Hussein to his brother, HE President Abdelmadjid Tebboune in 2022. The visit
effectively served as a new beginning in raising trade exchange between the two
countries as well as an example to follow for cooperation between public and
private sector institutions in both countries.
The Ambassador added that all the
recommendations presented by TAG.Global will be discussed, and that cooperation
between the Organization and Algerian authorities will be organized,
emphasizing that the Algeria entities greatly appreciate the role of Dr.
Abu-Ghazaleh in disseminating knowledge at the Arab and global levels.
