We seek to enhance quality of education to meet requirements of the Fourth
Industrial Revolution

AMMAN
– The Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) will hold a
regional seminar entitled the “Quality Education at Schools and Universities in
the Arab Region: Opportunities and Challenges”, on February 7, 2023, in Amman,
Jordan.

The
seminar will be held under the patronage of Jordan’s Minister of Education,
Higher Education and Scientific Research, HE Prof. Azmi Mahafzah, with the
participation of Lebanon’s Minister of Education and Higher Education, HE Dr.
Abbas Halabi, in the presence of elite educational leaders, experts, university
presidents, school principals and representatives of quality organization.

HE
Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, AROQA chairman, stated that organizing such a seminar
comes within the framework of the Organization’s mission toward promoting and
boosting the quality of education in order to keep pace with Fourth Industrial
Revolution’s accelerating advancements and to meet its requirements and needs;
especially in light of the unexpected crisis caused by the Coronavirus
(COVID-19) pandemic and its impact on the present and future situation of
education globally.

Dr.
Abu-Ghazaleh further affirmed that the seminar would play a vital role as a
scientific platform that brings together educational leaders, researchers, and
experts to exchange expertise and answer questions about ways to address the
challenges faced by the education sector.

The
regional seminar aims at ensuring the quality of Arab education to achieve the
Sustainable Development Goals and to explore ways to strengthen dialogue
between intellectuals and decision-makers. That is in addition to providing the
necessary recommendations to encourage the improvement of quality education in
the Arab region, control its standards, and enhance the use of quality
management systems as well as application of accreditation standards.
