JanuaryAbu-Ghazaleh Guest of Honor to the 44th General Meeting of the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Council
CAIRO - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh,
Chairman of Arab States Research and Education Networks (ASREN), founder and
Chairman of TAG.GLOBAL, has attended as a Guest of Honor the 44th General
Meeting of the Federation of Arab scientific Research Council (FASRC) which was
held at the League of Arab States in Cairo
The meeting was opened by HE Dr. Ahmed
Rasheed Khattabi, Assistant Secretary General at the League of the Arab States
representing HE Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Arab League Secretary General, along
with Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour,
Minister of Higher Education in Egypt,
Prof. Mohamed Hassan Dahab, Minister of Higher Education in Sudan, Prof. Amr Ezzat Salamah, Secretary General of
the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Abdelmajid Benamara, Secretary
General of the Federation of Arab scientific Research Councils; in addition to
large representation from all Arab countries.
Dr. Abdel Majeed Benamara, Secretary
General of the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils, said that the
participation of all Arab countries in this meeting indicates that this year is
different in terms of attendance, level of representation and positive discussions.
The meeting has approved and supported Arab partnership priority projects for
the Arab countries, such as water, new energy, green innovation, artificial
intelligence, the establishment of an Arab virtual incubator for emerging
technology companies, and the adoption of scientific excellence awards for
individuals, institutions, innovators, and entrepreneurs.
HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh discussed the
role of research and education networks and their importance in developing
scientific research by providing advanced infrastructure and distinguished
services to researchers. This is what the Arab States for Research and
Education Networks is doing in cooperation with the European Union and under
the auspices of the League of the Arab States.
HE also said: “It is necessary to support
research for innovation and should include the private sector in financing and
marketing the results of scientific research and converting them into
products”.
At the end of the opening session, HE Dr.
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh was honored by being presented with a special shield in
appreciation of his efforts in the Arab region and his support for research and
education.
