Abu-Ghazaleh supports cooperation between Arab States and China

Amman - Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Founder
and Chairman of TAG Group, has confirmed that the Arab states and China share
many common goals, visions and values, and looks forward to further expanding
cooperation between them. He expressed his willingness to do his utmost to
promote friendly and constructive cooperation between the Arab countries and
China.

During the interview, conducted by
journalist Shen Xiaoxiao, Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh added that Arab countries and
China could strengthen dialogue between civilizations, promote and strengthen
economic and trade cooperation in many ways, including in the digital field to
enhance the digital transformation of society. Recently, TAG Group and Huawei
Jordan have cooperated on technological innovation and training ICT talents.

 He said that Arab countries form a
bridge between Asia and Africa; thus an important part of the Silk Road
civilization, and are natural partners in jointly building the "Belt and
the Road." China and Arab countries have launched over 200 large-scale
projects in infrastructure, energy and other fields, which have benefited
nearly 2 billion people on both sides he further explained, adding”: that
cooperation under the framework of the "Belt and the Road" initiative
goes beyond national borders and involves many fields, such as education,
health, agriculture, industry, trade and tourism, investment, talents cultivation
and improving people's well-being for the partnering countries.

Abu-Ghazaleh said that the global
development initiative proposed by China will play an important role in
achieving steady, green and more balanced growth for all countries, especially
developing countries, and will help solve global development problems. He added
that in the process of promoting global development, China has always adhered
to the concept of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared
benefits, demonstrating the spirit of open and inclusive partnership, and
reflecting the mission and responsibility of being a responsible major country.

On the relations between TAG and China, he
stated that in September 2008, TAG Group cooperated with China to establish the
Confucius Institute in Jordan, which is not only the first Confucius Institute
to be established in Jordan, but also the first Confucius Institute built by
Chinese universities and foreign enterprises. At the same time, Abu-Ghazaleh
actively promoted cooperation between TAG Group and Shenyang Normal University
to establish an Arabic language teaching and cultural center. “Many years ago,
my son asked me where he was going to send his kids to summer camp, and I said
China without hesitation. Now, my sons, grandsons and granddaughters can speak
Chinese.” Abu-Ghazaleh said he hopes to promote Chinese language and culture in
more Arab countries.



Abu-Ghazalh, at 84 ow, has founded TAG Group in
1972. The Group has grown into one of the largest service-consulting firms in
the Arab world. "This is a historic honor, and it means more
responsibility for me,” he said. He expressed his pride for being  honored
to receive the Outstanding Contribution to China-Arab Friendship Award from the
Chinese President. Over the years, Abu-Ghazaleh has been closely following
China's development and actively promoting exchanges and cooperation between
Jordan and China in education, culture and economy.
